We are because you are! When we work together, we can accomplish tasks we could never do alone. We believe in the South African ethical philosophy of Ubuntu, 'the belief in a universal bond of sharing that connects all humanity'.
Together, we can build a school, rebuild a life and a community devastated by war, displacement and life in concentration camps. With us, one can bring encouragement, hope, joy and share love through education. There are enormous needs in rural Uganda but even greater needs in the regions recovering from the aftermath of over two (2) decades of civil war. However, taking one step at a time, we can make a real difference in the lives of children and the future of their communities and country at large.
UKEF exists because of people like you. People who are passionate about giving children the chance to attend school and have a brilliant future.
Getting involved with UKEF is an opportunity for each one to learn more about what we do and contribute in whatever way toward achieving our mission. This could be anything from your ideas, time, money or even being a part of a child's life.
Sponsoring a child: from as little as € 15 a month, you will help give a child a precious gift of education.
- Volunteer your time: In the Netherlands, Uganda or anywhere in the world, one can share his or her skills to help UKEF achieve it's mission.
- Fundraise: Irrespective of one's geographical location, anyone can host a fundraising event for UKEF. Fundraising ideas can range from events, sponsored challenges or any creative ideas one may have.
- Donate: Through your generous donations, you can give us the vital funds we need to continue with our work and positively impact lives.
Any contribution can make a significant difference and create a lasting impact. Together, we can give the next generation the opportunity for a brighter future.
